  • Venice Beach Skate Dance Plaza, Los Angeles

    The Venice Beach Skate Dance Plaza is located in between the Venice Skate Park and the Venice Beach boardwalk opposite the Sidewalk Cafe. It was entirely community-funded by local and legendary roller skaters. The Venice Beach Skate Dance Association, a non profit, promotes their mission of sharing, preserving and protecting one of a few remaining public recreational cultures still alive in the LA community. The plaza is open to the public and skaters are always welcome with music provided most Saturday’s, Sunday’s and holiday afternoons.

  • Skatin' Place, Golden Gate Park, San Francisco

    Skatin’ Place is located in Golden Gate park at 6th Avenue and Kennedy Drive. David Miles Jr., known as “The GodFather of Sk8” worked with the city of San Francisco to establish Skatin’ Place as a permanent outdoor roller rink in 1984.

  • Skater's Circle, Central Park, New York City

    Located in the heart of Central Park, the Central Park Dance Skaters Association, a non-profit organization, provides free roller skating to live DJ music for the public 3-7pm on most Saturdays and Sundays during the warmer months.

  • Anacostia Park Roller Rink, Washington D.C.

    Anacostia Park | Roller Rink (D.C.) is the only roller skating rink in the National Park system. The rink is covered, but open on the sides and always accessible. Skate rentals are free with a government issued ID.

  • UMOJA Roller Rink, Oakland

    The UMOJA Roller Rink in Oakland is an outdoor roller rink that sits on a once-vacant lot. It is located in Liberation Park, a part of the Black Cultural Zone created by and for their community.

  • LeFrak Center at Lakeside, Prospect Park, Brooklyn

    Lakeside is a 17,000 square foot covered outdoor roller rink in Prospect Park, Brooklyn’s second largest public park which is operated by the Prospect Park Alliance and NYC Parks.

    Millcreek Common located in Millcreek, a town just south of Salt Lake City has an outdoor roller rink open daily 11am-10pm.

  • Rollout Detroit, Detroit

    RollerCade Detroit, the nation’s oldest Black-owned roller-skating rink, brings you Rollout Detroit, the city’s only outdoor rink open May 18- September 4 in downtown Detroit.

    Derby United serves roller dance skating and roller derby activities providing clases, open skate sessions as well as skate parties and birthday parties. It is private but offers monthly memberships.
